...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM CST EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR NORTHWESTERN CHEATHAM, NORTHWESTERN DICKSON, HOUSTON,
NORTHWESTERN HUMPHREYS, MONTGOMERY, ROBERTSON, SOUTHERN STEWART AND
NORTHERN SUMNER COUNTIES...

At 144 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. The heavy rains that prompted the advisory are beginning
to move eastward, and flooding that is occurring is expected to
tapper off.  Between 1.7 and 2.8 inches of rain have fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Clarksville, Springfield, Camden, Dover, Erin, White House,
  Greenbrier, Coopertown, Cross Plains, Tennessee Ridge, Portland,
  Pleasant View, Orlinda, Adams, Vanleer, Cedar Hill, Cumberland
  City, Mitchellville, Slayden and Cunningham.

Additional rainfall of 0.5 to 1 inches is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
