The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Clay County in middle Tennessee...
  Northern De Kalb County in middle Tennessee...
  Southwestern Fentress County in middle Tennessee...
  Eastern Jackson County in middle Tennessee...
  Central Overton County in middle Tennessee...
  Putnam County in middle Tennessee...
  Southern Smith County in middle Tennessee...

* Until midnight CDT.

* At 909 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
  fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Livingston, Gainesboro, Algood, Baxter, Gordonsville,
  Hickman, Alexandria, Commons Falls State Park, Whitleyville,
  Standing Stone State Park, Outcry Vans State Park, Center Hill
  Lake and Crawford.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
