NORTHEASTERN DE KALB...NORTHWESTERN VAN BUREN...WHITE...PUTNAM AND
SOUTHWESTERN FENTRESS COUNTIES UNTIL 615 PM CDT...

At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Center Hill Lake to near Cookeville to
Jamestown. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Crossville, Sparta, Spencer, Fairfield Glade, Algood,
Monterey, Baxter, Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill, Doyle, Grimsley,
Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Slate Springs, Virgin Falls
State Natural Area, Burgess Falls State Park, Rickman, Clarkrange and
Crawford.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 270 and 326.

The White County Football game in Sparta will also be impacted.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
