...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WEST CENTRAL GRUNDY COUNTY UNTIL
315 PM CDT...

At 252 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Monteagle, or 13 miles northeast of Winchester. This storm was
nearly stationary.

Pea size hail, winds in excess of 30 mph, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy rainfall will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Pelham.

This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 125 and 129.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
