PUTNAM COUNTIES UNTIL 100 AM CDT...

At 1240 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Gordonsville, or 8 miles south of Carthage, moving east at 25
mph, within a much broader area of other potential strong
thunderstorms stretching western into northeastern Rutherford
County. Pea size hail, winds in excess of 30 mph, brief heavy
rainfall, and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes will be
possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Smyrna, La Vergne, Watertown, Gordonsville, Walterhill, Hickman,
Alexandria, Dowelltown, Liberty, Lascassas, Cedars Of Lebanon State
Park, Center Hill Lake, Edgar Evans State Park and Milton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 248 and 272.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 61 and 68.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
