following rivers in Middle Tennessee...

  Piney River Near Vernon affecting Hickman County

. Recent heavy rainfall has caused the Piney River to enter action stage. The
river may enter minor flood stage late tonight before falling Monday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  The Piney River Near Vernon
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 13.2 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* At 10.0 feet...Water begins to overflow the natural banks and inundates low
  lying areas along the river from Interstate 40 to near Pinewood, Nunnelly, and
  down to the Duck River.
