The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Davidson County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 500 PM CST.
* At 254 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms continues across Davidson County. River gauges
indicate rapid rises are occurring on Mill Creek, Browns Creek,
Sevenmile Creek, Richland Creek and Whites Creek. The heavy rain
along with the rising creeks may cause areas of minor flooding.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Nashville, Madison, Goodlettsville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle
Meade, Lakewood, Ridgetop, Hermitage, Bellevue, Antioch, Old
Hickory, Joelton, Berry Hill, Bells Bend, Whites Creek, Beaman Park
and Percy Priest Lake.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 193 and 222.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 75 and 99.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 32 and 63.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
