PICKETT...WESTERN CUMBERLAND...WHITE...SOUTHEASTERN PUTNAM AND
FENTRESS COUNTIES UNTIL 345 PM CDT...

At 244 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Great Meadows Campsites to 11 miles
southeast of Smithville. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Crossville, Sparta, Jamestown, Monterey, Allardt,
Pleasant Hill, Doyle, Grimsley, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers
Crossroads, Slate Springs, Virgin Falls State Natural Area,
Clarkrange, Crawford and Pickett State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 290 and 320.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
