...Flash Flood Watch Much of Middle Tennessee Through This
Evening...
.Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall will
spread across the area. This will occur a a cold front moves into
the very humid air in place across Tennessee.
Some of the rainfall will be quite heavy, with several inches of
rainfall in some spots. This could lead to flash flooding in a
very short amount of time. The rainfall will taper off by late
tonight.

EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson,
De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Humphreys,
Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Overton,
Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner,
Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and
Wilson.
* Until 10 PM CDT this evening
* Heavy rainfall is expected with 2 to 3 inches possible in some
spots.
* Street flooding will be a hazard for travelers. Low-lying and
poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as
well as creeks and streams.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
