  Shoal Creek Near Iron City affecting Lauderdale and Lawrence Counties

. Recent heavy rainfall has caused Shoal Creek near Iron City to rise above
action stage. The creek is currently falling, but continued rain overnight
could cause the creek to stay above action stage for several more hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay tuned to noaa weather radio or other local media for further information
from the National Weather Service.

* At 09PM Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to near 5.5 feet by Friday morning.
