JACKSON...SOUTHEASTERN MACON AND WEST CENTRAL PUTNAM COUNTIES UNTIL
300 PM CDT...

At 210 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gordonsville, or 8 miles southeast of Carthage, moving north at 15
mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Gainesboro, Gordonsville and Granville.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 260 and 270.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
