* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Lewis County in Middle Tennessee...
Eastern Wayne County in Middle Tennessee...
Lawrence County in Middle Tennessee...
Southeastern Perry County in Middle Tennessee...
Southwestern Hickman County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 1000 AM CDT.
* At 801 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Doppler radar estimates up to one inch of rain
has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lawrenceburg, Hohenwald, Waynesboro, Loretto, Collinwood, St.
Joseph, Ethridge, Gordonsburg, Kimmins, Henryville, Leoma,
Westpoint, Iron City and Pleasantville.
Additional rainfall of one inch is expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
