This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Rainfall totals of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected today. Coupled
with saturated grounds from recent rainfall, some minor flooding
is possible this afternoon into tonight. Small creeks, streams,
low lying areas and other flood prone locations will be most
susceptible to minor flooding.
Rain may change to light snow for a brief time tonight. A dusting
to one half inch of snow is possible, mainly along and east of
the I-24 corridor. The highest snow amounts are possible on the
northern Cumberland Plateau. Any accumulating snow, along with
leftover water from today's rainfall, could freeze into ice on
some area roadways late tonight into Thursday morning as
temperatures drop into the 20s.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
Another round of light snow is possible Saturday evening, which
could cause some slick roads Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Yet another wintry mix or light snow is possible Monday night
into Tuesday, but this remains highly uncertain.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are urged to report any measurable ice or snow amounts
to the NWS Nashville office.
