...Forecast Flooding Changed from Moderate to Major Severity for the following
rivers in Tennessee...
Duck River At Columbia affecting Maury County
Duck River At Centerville affecting Hickman County
.Runoff from rainfall will cause additional rises on the Duck River at Columbia
and Centerville, and Major Flooding is now forecast for later today, with peak
levels occurring Sunday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Avoid flooded areas along the river...And move personal belongings to higher
ground. Never drive through flooded roads as the depth of water may be too great
to pass...Even in trucks or sport utility vehicles. If you come across a flooded
road...Turn around don't drown.
Stay tuned to noaa weather radio or other local media for further information
from the National Weather Service.

Warning continues for
The Duck River At Columbia
* Until Tuesday evening.
* At 09AM Saturday the stage was 39.1 feet and rising.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Major Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 45.0 feet after midnight.
* At 38.0 feet...Flood waters reach the Tennessee Valley Packing Company on
Carter Street.
* At 42.0 feet...Flood waters reach the Highway 31 Bridge.
* At 44.0 feet...Flood water covers Iron Bridge Road and reaches the City
Maintenance Garage.
* At 44.7 feet...Flood waters reach several businesses and homes along Santa
Fe Pike.

Warning continues for
The Duck River At Centerville
* Until Thursday morning.
* At 09AM Saturday the stage was 28.5 feet and rising.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Major Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 39.5 feet by tomorrow morning.
* At 25 feet...Flood waters cover the soccer fields and bottomland along
the river. Hickman Springs Road, Defeated Creek Road, and Leatherwood
Road will be impassable. Defeated Creek will flood due to backwater from
the Duck River.
* At 32.0 feet...All areas along the Duck River near Centerville will be
covered by flood waters. Defeated Creek, Bears Creek, Swan Creek, Lowes
Bend, and Horse Branch Creek will be flooded due to backwater. Many roads
near the river will be impassable due to high water.
