Tennessee...

.Rain will slowly taper off this evening from west to east. Due
to the saturated ground from recent rainfall, any additional rain
could work to exacerbate ongoing flooding.

cancelled. Heavy rain has ended across much of Middle Tennessee.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Clay, Cumberland, Fentress, Overton, Pickett, and Putnam.

* Until 6 PM CST this evening

* While rain is largely coming to an end, flash flood warnings
  remain in effect for portions of Middle Tennessee due to heavy
  rainfall earlier in the day.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for travelers. Low-lying and
  poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as
  well as creeks and streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
