...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CST FOR
MARSHALL...SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD...LAWRENCE...COFFEE...GILES AND
BEDFORD COUNTIES...
At 1013 AM CST, there are many reports of flooding in areas covered
by this warning. Many roads are closed. Creeks and rivers are
running extremely high, if not already overflowing and spilling into
roadways. Please do not try to drive through flooded areas.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shelbyville, Lewisburg, Lawrenceburg, Manchester, Pulaski, Tullahoma,
Loretto, Summertown, Chapel Hill, Ardmore, Cornersville, St. Joseph,
Wartrace, Elkton, Minor Hill, Bell Buckle, Ethridge, Lynnville,
Normandy and Henryville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 1 and 35.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 85 and 116.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
