The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Marshall County in Middle Tennessee...
Maury County in Middle Tennessee...
Lawrence County in Middle Tennessee...
Giles County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 800 AM CST.
* At 600 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms moving across the advisory area. Radar estimates up
to 2 inches of rain has fallen since yesterday. The additional
heavy rainfall this morning will cause minor flooding of roads and
low lying areas across the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia, Lewisburg, Lawrenceburg, Pulaski, Spring Hill, Mount
Pleasant, Loretto, Summertown, Chapel Hill, Ardmore, Cornersville,
St. Joseph, Elkton, Minor Hill, Ethridge, Lynnville, Henryville,
Culleoka, Belfast and Goodspring.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 1 and 52.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water on streets and in urban is occurring or is
imminent. Remember, if you encounter flooded roadways, Turn Around
Don't Drown!
