  Piney River Near Vernon affecting Hickman County

.Rainfall overnight into today has led to rises on area rivers. The Piney River
is expected to crest by this afternoon then rapidly fall later today.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  The Piney River Near Vernon
* At 945AM Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* At 10.0 feet...Water begins to overflow the natural banks and inundates low
  lying areas along the river from Interstate 40 to near Pinewood, Nunnelly, and
  down to the Duck River.
