The Late Afternoon Hours Today...
.Southerly wind speeds in advance of an approaching strong cold
front will be increasing as the day progresses. Wind speeds
should reach their maximums during the mid afternoon hours.
South sustained winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 up to around
40 mph will be possible. After the rainfall begins this evening,
the wind speeds will begin to decrease.

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 7 PM CST this evening.
* TIMING...from 10 AM CST this morning until 7 PM CST this
evening
* AREA...All of Middle Tennessee
* WINDS...South sustained winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 up to
around 40 mph.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds can cause tree and branch damage. Loose
outdoor objects may be blown around. High profile vehicles in
particular, may experience travel difficulties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Wind Advisory means that winds over 40 mph are expected. Winds
this strong may blow down a few trees or tree limbs and cause
isolated power outages. Driving may also become difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
