This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A cold front will sweep across Middle Tennessee this afternoon and
evening, and will bring showers and a few storms to the mid state.
While today's rainfall probably won't be excessive, storms that
form along the front may produce brief, heavy rainfall which could
lead to minor, localized flooding, especially in areas that
experienced flooding yesterday afternoon and evening.

There is a marginal risk of severe storms this afternoon and early
evening for much of Middle Tennessee west of the Cumberland
Plateau. Locations near the Tennessee River are under a slight
risk. The primary threat is damaging straight-line winds. Due to
increasing wind shear ahead of the cold front, and isolated
tornado or two in areas west of Nashville cannot be completely
ruled out, but the risk of tornadoes is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

The next rain event will begin on Sunday, with wet weather likely
lasting through Tuesday. At this time, it appears that a total of
2 to 3 inches of rain is possible during this multi-day event.
Given the excessive rainfall amounts that fell in parts of Middle
Tennessee yesterday and last evening, additional flash flooding
and river flooding are possible with this active weather system.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed in the event of severe storms
this afternoon and early evening.
