Southeastern Wilson County in Middle Tennessee...
Northwestern White County in Middle Tennessee...
Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...
Northern Cannon County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 745 PM CST.
* At 341 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area...especially Wades Branch
including Walterhill and Valley View...Smith Fork Creek including
Statesville and Lancaster...Hickman Creek, Brush Creek, and Goose
Creek including Alexandria...and areas of Cookeville.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Murfreesboro, Cookeville, Smithville, Smyrna, Algood, Watertown,
Baxter, Walterhill, Hickman, Alexandria, Dowelltown, Liberty,
Auburntown, Hamptons Crossroads, Lascassas, Bakers Crossroads,
Burgess Falls State Park, Cedars Of Lebanon State Park, Center Hill
Lake and Edgar Evans State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
