The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Southern Davidson County in Middle Tennessee...
Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 800 PM CDT.
* At 601 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Doppler radar estimates up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle
Meade, Thompson's Station, Bellevue, Antioch, Leipers Fork, Natchez
Trace At Highway 96 and Triune.
Additional rainfall of 1 inch or more is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 193 and 200.
Interstate 65 between mile markers 59 and 79.
Interstate 24 between mile markers 56 and 63.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 14 and 17, and between mile
markers 26 and 43.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
