The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Lawrence County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until midnight CDT.
* At 1002 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Doppler radar
estimates up to two inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lawrenceburg, Loretto, St. Joseph, Ethridge, Leoma, Westpoint and
Iron City.
Additional rainfall of one half to one inch is expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
