The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Northern Smith County in Middle Tennessee...
Southern Macon County in Middle Tennessee...
Trousdale County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 1000 AM CDT.
* At 806 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Doppler radar
estimates up to two inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hartsville, Pleasant Shade and Dixon Springs.
Additional rainfall of up to one inch is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
