Tennessee Tonight and Thursday...
...Localized Flooding Will Become Likely Tonight and Thursday...
.A slow moving cold front will sag into our area late this
afternoon and become stationary over western and north central
Middle Tennessee this evening. Another more substantial period of
heavy rainfall will move in tonight and into the morning Thursday.
These rains will fall on wet ground, leading to rapid run off and
the likelihood for localized flash flooding. In addition, you can
expect rapid rises on small creeks and streams, as well as the
possibility for rises along larger rivers.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH 7 PM CDT THURSDAY EVENING...
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
Cheatham, Clay, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Houston,
Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Maury, Montgomery,
Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner,
Trousdale, Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.
* From 7 PM CDT this evening through 7 PM CDT Thursday Evening.
* Heavy rainfall between 2 and 3 inches, with locally higher
amounts up to 4 inches possible, will occur tonight and
Thursday.
* Some flash flooding is possible. In addition, you can expect
rises to occur on area creeks and streams, and possibly along
larger rivers as well.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
