...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT
FOR SMITH AND SOUTHWESTERN JACKSON COUNTIES...

At 518 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Carthage,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Gordonsville, South Carthage, Granville, Pleasant Shade and
Dixon Springs.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 258 and 264.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm has produced widespread
wind damage across Sumner County. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.
