...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR SUMNER...NORTHEASTERN WILSON...WESTERN MACON AND TROUSDALE
COUNTIES...

At 439 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Westmoreland to near Gallatin, moving east at 50
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Gallatin, Lafayette, Hartsville, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville,
White House, Millersville, Westmoreland, Portland, Mitchellville,
Bethpage, Oak Grove, Bledsoe Creek State Park, Dickerson Chapel
Recreation Area and Cottontown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
