...Widespread Flooding May Develop By Late This Weekend...
.Several episodes of rainfall are expected over the next several
days. The potential currently of heaviest rainfall looks to be
on Saturday night. This rainfall will fall on grounds that have
already been saturated from previous rains. Rainfall totals are
expected to average between three and five inches across the
watch area, with locally higher amounts approaching 6 inches,
over the northwestern half of the Mid-State. With grounds already
saturated, and area rivers and stream levels still high from
previous rains, river flooding as well as flooding outside of
rivers may occur through at least Saturday night especially over
northern and western portions of Middle Tennessee.
