  Piney River Near Vernon AFFECTING Hickman County

. Rains have tapered off a bit, so the Piney River near Vernon has crested and
has started to fall over the last hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

from the National Weather Service.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  The Piney River Near Vernon
* Until late Sunday night.
* At 11 PM Saturday the stage was 13.0 feet.
* Action Stage is 10.0 feet.
* At 10.0 feet...Water begins to overflow the natural banks and inundates low
  lying areas along the river from Interstate 40 to near Pinewood, Nunnelly, and
  down to the Duck River.
