...Another round of locally heavy rain expected this weekend...
After a beautiful and dry Spring-like day on Friday, another
round of rain will spread into Middle Tennessee on Friday night,
with rain and a few thunderstorms continuing across the area from
Saturday into Saturday night before gradually tapering off on
Sunday.
Periods of locally heavy rainfall appear likely across the
southeast half of Middle Tennessee from late Friday night through
Saturday night. Rainfall totals look to range from around 1 inch
in northwest Middle Tennessee to as much as 2 to 3 inches in
southeast Middle Tennessee. This rainfall may lead to localized
road flooding in some areas, as well as rises on area rivers and
lakes.
Keep up to date with the latest forecast information concerning
this upcoming wet weekend, as changes in rainfall amounts are
possible and a Flood Watch may become necessary for parts of the
area.
