...Light Snow Accumulations Possible Tonight on the Cumberland
Plateau...
Additional moisture from this weekend's system along with colder
air will allow for a rain/snow mix tonight that will transition to
all snow early Monday morning. Due to below freezing surface
temperatures, some light snow accumulation will be possible on the
Cumberland Plateau. Less than an inch is expected. Some slick
spots will be possible on Monday morning.
For areas between I-65 and the Plateau a mix of rain and snow will
be possible along with flurries as the system moves east on
Monday. Little to no accumulation is expected in this area, but
some wet roads may refreeze overnight.
Temperatures are expected to warm into the upper 30s and low 40s
across the area by the afternoon hours, which should alleviate
any hazardous travel conditions.
