...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CST FOR SOUTHERN
DAVIDSON...NORTHERN RUTHERFORD...NORTHERN WILLIAMSON AND SOUTHERN
WILSON COUNTIES...
At 309 PM CST, runoff continues to move through area creeks and
streams, but water is subsiding in most locations and any lingering
effects from the flooding are expected to end this afternoon.
Some locations that may still be experiencing flooding include...
Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, Watertown, Walterhill, Rural Hill,
Bellevue, and Lascassas.
This includes the following streams and drainages...West Fork Stones
River including Murfreesboro...Mayes Creek including Trinity, Burke
Hollow, and Clovercroft...East Fork Stones River including
Walterhill...Westhaven and areas near Boyd Mill...Stewart Creek
including Smyrna...West Harpeth River...Wades Branch including
Walterhill and Valley View...Cripple Creek including Donell Chapel,
Floraton, and Kittrell...Cub Creek, Indian Creek, and Whites Bend...
Fall Creek including Norene...Overall Creek including Windrow and
Murfreesboro...Rock Springs Branch including Smyrna...Sulpher
Springs and Leanna...Pond Creek and Bushman Creek including
Murfreesboro.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
