  Piney River Near Vernon AFFECTING Hickman County

.Heavy rain overnight has caused the Piney River near Vernon to rise into action stage. The river will drop below action stage by early this afternoon.

  The Piney River Near Vernon
* At 06AM Tuesday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* At 10.0 feet...Water begins to overflow the natural banks and inundates low
  lying areas along the river from Interstate 40 to near Pinewood, Nunnelly, and
  down to the Duck River.
