The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
  Southern Indiana
  Central Kentucky
  Middle Tennessee

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 320 PM until
  1000 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...A line of strong storms is moving slowly eastward from
southern Indiana into middle Tennessee.  Some storms are expected to
intensify into the evening hours as they move into a very warm and
moist air mass.  A few damaging wind gusts and occasional hail are
the primary threats.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles north northwest
of Louisville KY to 55 miles south of Nashville TN. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 55 knots. A
