The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Lewis County in Middle Tennessee...
Perry County in Middle Tennessee...
Southwestern Hickman County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 1015 AM CDT
* At 841 AM CDT, rainfall reports indicated more than 5 inches of
rain in many areas early this morning. Radar estimates showed over
7 inches in some spots. Although rain was moving out of the area
as of 841 AM CDT, flash flooding was occurring, and water levels
will remain dangerously high through mid morning. The Linden area
has had the greatest impact with water flowing over roads and
water rescues. Therefore, the flash flood warning has been
extended until 1015 AM CDT.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hohenwald, Linden, Lobelville, Gordonsburg, Kimmins, Mousetail
Landing State Park and Pleasantville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
