...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON AND CENTRAL PUTNAM COUNTIES...

At 241 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain that fell
across the advisory area earlier this afternoon has ended. However,
radar estimates that 1 to 3 inches of rain has occurred from
northwest of Cookeville to near Algood. This will cause minor
flooding in the advisory area.

In addition, radar estimates over 2 inches of rain fell in an hour
over the southern parts of the Blackburn Fork Creek basin this
afternoon. This heavy rainfall may cause rapid river rises at
Cummins Falls State Park.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cummins Falls State Park, Algood, Baxter, and Cookeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
