This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect across Middle Tennessee from
noon today until noon Saturday. Heavy rainfall is expected to
begin by this afternoon, and will continue through tonight and
into Saturday. A total of 2 to 4 inches of rain is anticipated
with locally higher amounts possible. These rains will be falling
on grounds that are already fairly saturated which may lead to
flash flooding. If you are planning to travel around the Mid
State today and Saturday, stay tuned to a reliable source of
weather information, and listen for any warnings that may be
issued.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
The Flash Flood Watch will continue until noon on Saturday. Rain
will taper off in the morning and early afternoon, but flooding
potential will continue during the morning hours Saturday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation may be needed later today into tonight for
flash flooding concerns.
