...Strong winds to continue overnight across the Mid State...
Southerly winds around 15 to 25 mph and gusting up to around 35
mph can be expected overnight as a cold front approaches the
region. A few areas may see gusts approaching 40 mph at times as
well. The area where the strongest winds are most likely will be
around the I-65 corridor during the early morning hours. The cold
front will pass through the mid state during the morning hours
after sunrise, and winds will become more westerly and
northwesterly behind the front. Strong winds may continue right
behind the front, but look to calm down during the day as the cold
front moves off to the east.
