* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Overton County in Middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern De Kalb County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Van Buren County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Warren County in Middle Tennessee...
  White County in Middle Tennessee...
  Central Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...
  West central Fentress County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 800 PM CDT

* At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms that have remained generally stationary over this
  area. In some locations hourly rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches with
  locally higher amounts have occurred. This will cause urban and
  small stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Sparta, Livingston, Algood, Monterey, Doyle, Hamptons
  Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Crawford, Burgess Falls State Park,
  Rock Island State Park and Rickman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
