The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Northwestern Rutherford County in Middle Tennessee...
East central Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 815 PM CDT
* At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain with amounts of
1 to 1.5 inches falling in a short period of time. This will cause
minor flooding of smaller creeks and streams as well as poor
draining and urban areas within the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Smyrna, La Vergne, Nolensville, Arrington and Triune. Also,
smaller creeks such as Arrington Creek, Nelson Creek, Stewart
Creek, and Rock Spring Branch are subject to rises.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
