...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN WILLIAMSON COUNTY
UNTIL 630 PM CDT...
At 559 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fairview, or 13 miles west of Franklin, moving northeast at 15 mph.
Half inch hail, winds in excess of 40 mph, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy rainfall will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Brentwood, Forest Hills, Oak Hill and Natchez Trace At Highway 96.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized minor flooding or ponding of water on area roadways.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
