...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN SMITH...SOUTHWESTERN JACKSON AND SOUTHEASTERN MACON
COUNTIES...

At 445 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Carthage,
moving northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. at 445 PM CDT, nickel size hail was
         reported in Carthage.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Gainesboro, Red Boiling Springs, South Carthage, Pleasant
Shade and Granville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
