...The National Weather Service in Nashville, Tn has issued a flood advisory for
the following rivers in middle Alabama...Tennessee...

  Shoal Creek Near Iron City AFFECTING Lauderdale and Lawrence Counties

. 1 TO 3 inches of rain fell Thursday evening causing Shoal Creek to rise rapidly.
Levels will continue to rise above action stage through early Friday afternoon,
then levels will fall below action stage Friday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* At 10 PM Thursday the stage was 9.7 feet.
* Action stage is 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* The river will continue to rise to near 13.5 feet by tomorrow early afternoon.
* At 14.0 feet...Flooding of low lying areas along Shoal Creek begins.
