40...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE KENTUCKY BORDER...
EARLY THIS MONDAY MORNING...MAINLY RAIN WAS FALLING...BUT THERE
WERE STILL SOME PATCHES OF LIGHT SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN ACROSS
FAR NORTHERN AREAS OF THE MID STATE. TEMPERATURES WERE RISING
VERY SLOWLY...WITH SOME SPOTS STILL AROUND FREEZING. AS A
RESULT...SOME ROADS ARE LIKELY TO REMAIN SLICK WITH PATCHES OF
SNOW...SLEET AND ICE...UNTIL MID MORNING ACROSS THE FAR NORTHERN
COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE. AFTER 9 AM...CONDITIONS SHOULD
IMPROVE WITH ALL RAIN AND ABOVE FREEZING TEMPERATURES.

FEW PATCHES OF SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN MAY PERSIST THROUGH
DAYBREAK. ROAD SURFACES THAT ARE COATED IN SNOW...SLEET OR ICE
WILL TAKE A WHILE TO IMPROVE AS TEMPERATURES SLOWLY CREEP ABOVE
FREEZING.
