...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN MARSHALL AND MAURY
COUNTIES UNTIL 730 PM CST...

At 707 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mount Pleasant, or 7 miles southwest of Columbia, moving east at 40
mph.

Half inch hail, winds in excess of 40 mph, brief heavy downpours,
and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Columbia, Spring Hill, Mount Pleasant, Chapel Hill, I-65 East Of
Columbia and Culleoka.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to temporarily localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
