...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN LAWRENCE AND GILES
COUNTIES UNTIL 630 PM CST...

At 556 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northeast of Lexington, or 12 miles southwest of Pulaski,
moving east at 50 mph.

Dime size hail, wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy rainfall will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Pulaski, Ardmore, Elkton, Minor Hill, Goodspring, Frankewing and
Prospect.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to temporarily minor localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
