...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN ROBERTSON AND NORTH
CENTRAL SUMNER COUNTIES UNTIL 600 PM CST...

At 534 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Springfield, moving east at 55 mph.

Half inch hail, wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy downpours will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Cross Plains, Portland, Orlinda, Cedar Hill,
Mitchellville, Oak Grove and Black Jack.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to temporarily localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
