...FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A FREEZING
FOG ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING.

* AREAS AFFECTED/TIMING...ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH 9 AM CST.

* VISIBILITY...VISIBILITIES WILL DROP BELOW ONE QUARTER OF A MILE
AT TIMES THROUGH THE MID MORNING HOURS TODAY.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF DENSE FOG AND TEMPERATURES SEVERAL
DEGREES BELOW FREEZING WILL PRODUCE A VERY THIN LAYER OF LIGHT
ICE ACCUMULATIONS ON SURFACES...ESPECIALLY IN THE MORE ELEVATED
TERRAIN OF THE MID STATE. ROADWAYS COULD HAVE SLICK
SPOTS...ESPECIALLY BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. SIDEWALKS COULD
  BECOME SLIPPERY...POSING A HAZARD TO PEDESTRIANS...INCLUDING
CHILDREN WALKING TO BUS STOPS. IF COMMUTING...PLEASE REDUCE
SPEED AS APPROPRIATE...USE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND ALLOW MORE
TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION IN THESE AREAS. IF WALKING...
  PLEASE PROCEED SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.

A FREEZING FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...
USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
ALSO...BE ALERT FOR FROST ON BRIDGE DECKS CAUSING SLIPPERY ROADS.
