...Travelers Advisory Across Middle Tennessee Today...

Locations across the western half of Middle Tennessee have
already experienced an end to wintry precipitation mix this
morning while eastern parts of the mid state will continue to
experience a wintry mix of precipitation this morning, before
exiting the mid state region as wintry precipitation finally
moves across the the higher elevations of the Cumberland Plateau
Region early this afternoon and continues eastward. With
temperatures today expected to be around or below freezing, any
ice accumulations on surface that has already occurred or will
occur, aided by cloudy conditions, should last through the
majority of today and potentially into tonight. Although not a lot
of widespread reports have been received presently of hazardous
driving conditions, some main roadways have isolated patches of
ice on them presently. Secondary and other backroads could
potentially be much worse. Elevated surfaces have become
especially hazardous this morning along with sidewalks. Please
exercise caution while traveling especially on bridges and
overpasses or even walking outside today on sidewalks, pavement,
and elevated surfaces.
