THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 INCH TO 1 INCH OF MOSTLY RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED
TODAY, WITH PRECIPITATION CHANGING TO A WINTRY MIX THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING AS SUB-FREEZING AIR WORKS ITS WAY IN FROM THE
NORTHWEST. IN ADDITION TO FREEZING RAIN ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO A
TENTH OF AN INCH, ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET AND SNOW WILL RANGE FROM
1 TO 2 INCHES NEAR THE ALABAMA BORDER, TO 2 TO 4 INCHES IN AREAS
FARTHER NORTH, INCLUDING THE NASHVILLE METRO AREA AND CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU, TO 3 TO 6 INCHES ALONG THE HIGHLAND RIM AND AREAS AROUND
CLARKSVILLE. THIS WILL OBVIOUSLY CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS ACROSS ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
